Description

Tangerine Puerh provides a rare, decadent combination of fruit with tea. Rather than a typical fruit blend—tea leaves mixed with dried fruit or flavoring—this premium tea infuses puerh inside a whole tangerine peel. The resulting cup tastes richer and fuller than most fruity blends.

The puerh and tangerine notes are simpatico: the flavors move across your palate simultaneously, so neither one overpowers or outshines the other. A long steep brings out the robust puerh character (without bitterness), while a shorter steep feels remarkably light and delicate. If you like more tang, add a small piece of the peel; it doesn’t take much. While this tea brews well in a tea pot or other brewing device, it’s also ideal for gong fu brewing. Either way, the liquor steeps up puerh-dark, with a subtle and lovely peachy tint.

Peel back the beautiful wrapping paper, and you’ll discover the dried tangerine. Remove the top, and find the puerh tea infusion nestled inside. Scoop your tea out, and wrap the tangerine back up for later. One 8oz cup requires about 2 tsp of tea. These tangerines vary in size, but each one contains enough tea for brewing 3 to 6 cups. And, as with any puerh, the leaves re-steep excellently.

3 reviews for Tangerine Puerh

  1. This is the first Puerh I ever tried and it’s amazing. I bought it from the shop in Missoula but will continue to order online.

  2. This is the ultimate blend of flavors for puerh drinkers and lovers of citrus flavors! You can resteep it several times without any bitterness creeping in. Tea drinkers – a must!

  3. Unbelieveably good! I love Puerh tea, which can be an acquired taste but once acquired is more than worth it. I first received this tea in my monthly subscription, and after making the first ball was not just pleased but deeply satisfied with the flavor from first sip through two infusions. I usually am not a fan of citrus within my tea flavors, but this tea is perfection.
