Description

Our Earl Grey Classic gives two old friends opportunity to shine – citrus and delicious tea. This cup offers you vibrant, bold notes.

Earl Grey, the world’s most popular tea blend, requires only two ingredients: black tea and bergamot. This Mediterranean citrus thrives in only a few regions of the world, but ever since it hooked up with Earl Grey, it has landed teacups in every corner of the globe.

Famously named after Charles Grey, a British prime minister in the 1830s. According to lore, the flavored tea was a gift. Others say he rescued a Chinese Mandarin from drowning—even though Charles never traveled to China. Others claim the bergamot was added to mimic a top-notch cultivar.

For a smooth and complex standalone cuppa, steep for 3 minutes. On the other hand, if you like milk and sweetener, try a 4-minute steep.

Lake Missoula Tea Company served Earl Grey Classic at its grand opening in 2012! Go ahead, reminisce about the old days, and check out our former retail space. Those were the days…

A made in Montana tea.

  1. This one is for those who look for an Earl Grey with strong bergamot.

I really like bergamot, but for my own tastes, needed to tone it down a bit, so I blended it with an EG Lavender and it was perfect for me.

  2. This is my favorite tea. I have been drinking it for about two years. This is the best Earl Grey I have ever had. I am an avid tea drinker in my 60s. I am not a coffee drinker at all. I first tasted Lake Missoula Earl Grey tea at a little store in Lewistown, MT. The store has a mural of fish on the wall, I think trout. They had great cinnamon rolls too. I bought some of the Earl Grey from that little store and have been buying Lake Missoula tea ever since. I also like the Earl Grey Red.
