Lake Missoula Tea Company values artisan, highly-crafted teas and is excited to promote equally crafted local art three ways:
Missoula First Fridays
The first Friday of every month, we host an art show reception for local artists. We alternate the reception focus between our current Potters-in-Residence and our two-dimensional artists who display work for two months. This is a good way for an artist “to get their feet wet” or for a seasoned artist to have fun with a show in an informal setting. We select one artist and coordinate with them to promote the event.
Interested in displaying two-dimensional work at the tea shop? Apply for a First Friday event.
Where would tea ware be without clay? We think not very far! Our Potters-in-Residence program offers in-store shelf space and Art Talk opportunities to local tea ware potters affiliated with the Clay Studio of Missoula or Ceramics at the University of Montana. See what our local potters are up to:
- Elisha Harteis– Harteis’ Art Talk will be posted our Facebook page. Date TBD
- Joshua Kuensting– Kuensting’s interview will be posted on our blog. Date TBD
Want to participate? Go to Potters-in-Residence at LMTC. We encourage you to apply!
Musicians, we love you too! Jam in a casual setting during on one of our late night Fridays or a Missoula First Friday. We welcome your talent. For more information, please contact us at [email protected].
