Keith Titanium Office Mug and Kettle with tea
Camping With Tea

Camping with tea is one of our favorite luxuries. Strong matcha or breakfast teas get the blood pumping on a chilly, dew-covered morning. Botanicals make a hydrating, soothing way to keep warm, in between dinnertime and the sleeping bag. Tea weighs next to nothing—but that mug, steeper, and kettle can add prohibitive pounds to your backpacking adventure.

This summer, we’re hitting the trails with our new double-walled titanium teaware. The Keith Titanium Kettle is so, so light—7.1 ounces—and the handle detaches, making it a snap to pack. (It also comes with a nifty mesh sack you could pack it in.) Titanium holds up to diverse conditions: from cooking on an open flame, to induction stoves, to anything in between. Heat 1.5 liters at a time, and keep your whole camping expedition in hot water—I mean, the good kind of hot water!

Then the Keith Titanium Office Mug completes the set. However, we think “office mug” sounds a bit limiting. How about, “Backpacker’s best friend?” “Camping carry-all?” I talked to our owners about their upcoming summertime trek: “I’m only taking this mug. It’s so light! Drink tea out of it, eat lunch from it, you name it.” The full set—including silicone lid and detachable tea strainer—clocks in at 7.4 ounces. For an even lighter experience, leave the titanium lid at home; or if you’re the all-matcha-all-the-time kind of camper, skip the infuser.

Take your tea camping: savor the good stuff, and focus on making memories with the people you love. Now, you just need to plan your route. Be safe, and have fun!
