Para Sara is a play on words related to the Pleistocene Epoch. It’s short for Paraceratherium, or the hornless rhino. This creature was the prehistoric pre-cursor to the present day rhino. Paraceratherium existed during the same time period as Glacial Lake Missoula, the prehistoric lake after which we named our company. We hope this tea brings awareness to the fact that there were 500,000 rhinos alive one hundred years ago, while today there are approximately 27,000!
