Description
Heritage Green is our most popular single origin green tea (after Matcha!). Large, vividly colored tea leaves reflect their careful cultivation, as well as the diverse ecosystem they grow from. A plum aroma leads the flavor profile, but the creamy sugar-cane texture steers the imagination toward even richer fruits—dates, or mangoes. The green tea vegetal character tastes invitingly dark and full: not like grass at all, more like deep forest. With zero astringency in the finish, and a soft, clean mineral note.
We recommend Heritage Green as an introduction to green teas, in part because of its forgiving steeping nature. If your water temperature gets above 170°, or you over-steep the leaves, it resists the typical bitterness. You’ll find the same resilience in all our ancient tea tree varieties, which include black, oolong, and puerh teas.
This exquisite tea comes from Jingmai Mountain, a region in southern Yunnan, where the 700 to 1,000 year old ancient tea trees grow. This region has been named a World Heritage site—hence the “Heritage” in Heritage Green. For millennia, the Dai people have handpicked these trees, maintaining this tradition of singular quality. In addition, the ancient tea trees thrive in a diverse forest ecosystem that provides rich antioxidants and nutrients.

Drink this tea daily as iced tea, using the Ka-Ku cold brew bottle. As mentioned by others, there is no unsavory aftertaste and the flavor is so refreshing. For me, it is like the Goldilocks green tea – not harsh, not too sweet, just right.
My absolute favorite tea. So smooth and sweet. I drink it every morning and have a hard time switching to any other tea, as nothing seems to stack up to this excellent tea.
Hi Haley, We agree! Heritage is outstanding. Glad you found this green tea, LMTC
This is a truly enjoyable tea lacking any astringency and noting a subtle fruitiness. My wife and I enjoy a cup of this often.
Steve, that’s exactly how we think about Heritage Green! We’re so lucky to have a green that retains its sweetness without going bitter. Thank you for sharing, LMTC
