The Lake Missoula House Chai recipe is a closely guarded secret. Just kidding! Please enjoy and share the recipe. You can prepare authentic chai, like you'd buy from a street vendor in India. And making a cup is as easy as...1,2,3! ![]()

1 Purchase a 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk, plus our Lake Missoula House Chai Spice Mix.
2 Mix 2 TB (11g) chai spice mix with the 14 oz can of condensed milk.
3 Pour or spoon the milk-with-spice mix into your favorite tea and stir. You can use as much or little chai mix as you’d like! Start with a spoonful, taste, and add until it tastes just right.
We usually prepare the House Chai with Birdsong Black, a delicious and robust Assamica varietal. Birdsong Black grows in Colombia, imparting a signature twist to the classic Indian drink. However, you can add this mix to any kind of tea: black, green, white, rooibos, puerh, a botanical, or even coffee!
After making the chai mixture, store in the refrigerator in a sealed container. Because of the sugars in the milk, it will keep at least two weeks. However, since it'll be the best chai you've ever had, it may disappear in a hurry...
