Royal Lapsang’s discovery was an accident! When we qc'ed an order of Lapsang Souchong from China to our previous lot, we wondered if it was smoked at all! Tasting the tea alone without the influence of the smokier version, we realized we had an outstanding tea on our hands. Our source confirmed this was a different style of Lapsang Souchong, with light smoke and preferred over a smokier Lapsang Souchong.
