About this tea

Jasmine Puerh makes a surprising—and delicious!—match between two classic tea flavors. The tea brings jasmine down to earth, folding the floral aroma into a fuller, richer cup than most jasmine tea blends. The cup remains medium-bodied, even with the robust and deep puerh notes. The texture is smooth.

Puerh teas have less caffeine than black teas, making this an ideal afternoon or all-day-long tea. This tea has won the hearts of many tea drinkers! Reach for Jasmine Puerh the next time you want to try a new tea

Jasmine Puerh comes from Jingmai Mountain in southern Yunnan, where the 700- to 1,000-year-old ancient tea trees grow. The Dai people have hand-picked the ancient tea trees for millennia, ensuring quality and continuing this time-honored tradition. In addition to producing teas with remarkable flavor and flexible steeping quality, the ancient tea trees thrive in a diverse forest that provides rich antioxidants and nutrients.

Jasmine Puerh tea is very different than jasmine green tea in that it is a black tea. It is good tasting with a hint of jasmine taste. If you let it set for sometime after brewing it develops a nice mild jasmine/tea flavor. It is very good for iced tea. In brewing iced tea I use one tablespoon of tea to one gallon of 160*F. water. Let brew for 4 minutes than strain into 2 half gallon containers. After it cools store it in the refrigerator.

Addictive!! The flavor is truly unique, so much richer than jasmine green tea. Numi stopped making theirs and I rationed my remaining stash for as long as I could but I was so happy to find this source! I ordered 50 grams to start, just to make sure this version was as tasty, but I tore through it, so ordering my next (bigger) batch now!

I absolutely love this tea. It's very aromatic and the flavor is earthy and floral. I like to add a little milk and the combo is heavenly. Since discovering these puerh teas they've become my morning drink of choice, as the aromatic/flavor/cognitive experience is better than coffee to me.
