Bulang Puerh is Chinese dark tea from Yunnan Province. With an exceptional earthy taste, yet light mouthfeel. Dried pear tang and creaminess notes prevail. This ripe puerh is both uplifting and calming. The tea is a paper wrapped tuocha, a traditional bird's nest shape, perfect for a serving of tea.
Bulang references the Bulang people in the southern region of Yunnan and Thailand. Sometimes called Blang, they are the original tea makers in China.
Unlike other tea types, puerh doesn't become overly bitter, making it extremely versatile. Traditional preparation would be gongfu style, involving many short steeps. Alternately, another tea-drinker might choose lengthy steeps. In the end, 30 seconds or 5 minutes, all's fair in love and tea-drinking.
