Yerba Maté Gourd and Bombilla
Brew yerba maté the traditional way with an authentic yerba maté gourd and bombilla set, handcrafted in Argentina. Each gourd is made from a dried calabash gourd, meaning no two are exactly alike, and the metal casing is made from alpaca silver, a durable alloy similar to stainless steel.
Available as: gourd with bombilla, gourd only, bombilla only - so you can complete your setup however you need.
How to brew: Fill your gourd 2/3 full with yerba maté, insert the bombilla, and pour water heated to 175-185°F (just under boiling) along the side of the gourd. If you find it bitter, add honey to taste. Brew multiple times until the flavor fades.
Curing your gourd (required before first use): Pour near-boiling water into the gourd, let it sit for 5 minutes, pour it out, then scrape away any seeds and pulp. That's it - your gourd is now ready to use.
Care tip: After each session, empty spent leaves, dry the inside with a paper towel, and store in a well-ventilated spot to prevent mold.
