Description
Eastern Beauty is a velvety oolong tea we discovered while at the tea farm in Yunnan, China. This slightly darker oolong beckons with a honey aroma and front flavor. Then fresh citrus and melon notes—with hints of guava—continue to unfold. This tea epitomizes the complexity and richness found in top quality oolongs. If you like discovering new flavors in tea, we strongly encourage you to taste this one!
On the first steep, brew at a lower temperature (185 degrees) for 2-3 minutes. Then steep the leaves a 2nd or 3rd time, and enjoy the experience.
While this exquisite oolong comes from the base of Jingmai Mountain in Yunnan, the tea plants come from Taiwan. The Taiwanese family that owns this farm offers much expertise, demonstrated in this tea’s depth of flavor. Eastern Beauty is hand picked to ensure quality and consistent flavor.
Lake Missoula Tea Company commits to direct-sourcing teas and botanicals from sustainable farms. First we choose organic ingredients, and then we create our blends in small batches. Loved this tea
Heated at 200 degrees for 3 minutes was smooth with a sweet hint.
Hi debsjf2, so glad to hear you loved Easter Beauty. We notice that if you brew it a tad cooler and 2-3 minutes, the flavor is even more enhanced. Thank you for the review, LMTC
Wasn’t impressed with this tea. It seemed a bit stale and the flavor was very difficult to find. This just didn’t taste fresh, clean, sweet and floral like it should. If you can give brewing tips to make it better, i would love to hear it. I enjoy both Gong Fu Brewing. Grandpa style & Western style brewing.
Hi Chefcor, Thank you for trying our tea. Our Eastern Beauty can be a sensitive tea. Play around with the brew times-try steeping for 2 minutes at 185 degrees. Oversteeping can overwhelm the nuance found in more sensitive teas. We think there is a lot of depth with this Chinese oolong, with melon and a tinge of tang. We hope this helps! LMTC
