Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, write up from the Missoula Public Library:
Our upcoming selection is Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford (a Montana author). Ford's debut novel follows Chinese-American Henry Lee in mid-1980s Seattle. After learning that the belongings of Japanese Americans interned during WWII were discovered in the basement of a hotel, he traces the experiences of his youth and his first love, Keiko Okabe, who was interned with her family during the war.
Have you read this book? ย And do you know the name of the establishment in Seattle referenced in the book?
