Description
Yerba Mate Gourd and Bombilla elevate your yerba mate sipping experience. Made with actual gourds and hand crafted in Argentina. You can think of each gourd as a piece of art! You’ll notice your gourd may still have seeds in it. This is because these gourds still require you to cure them. You do this by pouring near boiling water into them and allowing it to sit for about 5 minutes. Pour the water out, scrape the seeds and pulp out. Your gourd is now cured.
To avoid molding in your gourd, empty all liquid and spent leaves when you are done. Dry the inside of your gourd with a paper towel, and leave in a well ventilated area.
The metal casing uses Alpaca silver, which is similar to stainless steel.
To use your gourd, add 2-5TB of yerba mate, add your bombilla, then pour your water into your gourd. The water should be under boiling (175-185 degrees). Honey can be added if you find it too bitter. Enjoy!
