Description
Panda Gold is our heartiest tea from the high mountains of Nepal. The flavor profile covers an enormous range, from the deep earthy foundation, to the complex and lingering aromatics. While some teas are easy to pin down, Panda Gold defies an easy summary. It has no loud notes or rough edges. Instead, the flavor develops slowly, gradually. Every sip seems to linger a long, long time. Whether you like a woodsy sweetness, or a fruity–spicy black tea—or anything in between—there’s something here for you. This tippy tea is good for multiple steeps. Or if you prefer a stouter cup, try one longer steep; Panda Gold has virtually no astringency.
We directly source this single origin black tea through the Red Panda Network in Nepal. Red pandas, like many endangered animals, have been driven near to extinction due to poaching and deforestation. We’re proud to carry this tea, and to support the Network’s important mission of restoring red panda habitat, while also building a sustainable economy on the ground.
Purchase of Panda Gold directly impacts the Red Panda Network in Nepal. Think of these contributions as you steep and drink this tea.
Lake Missoula Tea Company commits to direct-sourcing teas and botanicals from sustainable farms. First we choose organic ingredients, and then we create our blends in small batches. In short, we love to drink this stuff, and we’re proud to share with you the tastiest, freshest tea possible. Store away from light and oxygen, and your teas will keep for a good long time.
I got some of this the other day to try its Nepali Gold not golden at the store. … Nice and smooth should get 3-4 steeps out of it by the taste of this first steep at least I hope so, the price is pretty steep (no pun intended) … didn’t even put any sweetener in it … doesn’t need it IMHO … I would recommend.
Hi Eric,
We concur, Nepali Gold is supreme! Thank you, LMTC
