Description
Organic Matcha tastes creamy–smooth with a vegetal aroma. It finishes with a delicate aftertaste. Whether you like your matcha in the traditional style, or as a matcha latte, we have you covered.
Our matcha is shade grown approximately three weeks, with its stems and veins removed. Then tea leaves get ground into powdered form. To prepare, mix matcha powder into water (traditionally done with a bamboo whisk). Because matcha consists of whole tea leaves, both nutrients—including chlorophyll, antioxidants, and vitamin content—and the caffeine content remain higher than infused teas. Matcha is the power punch of green tea!
Our organic matcha also shines in other recipes, such as smoothies or baked goods.
The tea master who produces this matcha received the Top Tea Connoisseur award in Japan. This family-operated company bypasses the Japanese government tea auctions and purchases tea directly from the farmers. Thus tea farmers get paid a higher price, and the manufacturer knows their tea source.
We offer four options of organic matcha:
- Mammoth Matcha – single origin, slight astringency
- Ceremonial Matcha – single origin, premium, absolute umami, no astringency
- Wild Strawberry Matcha – a matcha blend with flavor, fresh strawberry notes
- Honey Matcha – a matcha blend with honey, rounded sweet notes

Lake Missoula Tea Company commits to direct-sourcing teas and botanicals from sustainable farms. First we choose organic ingredients, and then we create our blends in small batches. In short, we love to drink this stuff, and we’re proud to share with you the tastiest, freshest tea possible. Store away from light and oxygen, and your teas will keep for a good long time.
Lake Missoula’s honey matcha is my morning beverage. The light sweetness is perfect with the spring-like matcha flavor. I love making this with my traditional whisk as a sort of meditative love letter to mornings.
Hi Lara, our Honey Matcha is a treat with just a whisper of sweet. Thank you for the 5 stars! LMTC
Tried the mammoth matcha and I like the taste don’t know if it’s a first harvest or later … milder than a Jade leaf second harvest … should have asked what harvest it is.
I would recommend it for the matcha drinkers.
Hi Eric, Glad you liked it. Yes, our Mammoth Matcha is 100% first harvest. Thank you for asking, LMTC
