Earl Grey Classic

Earl Grey Classic with black tea and bergamot make up the essential ingredients for your “classic” earl grey. One of the world’s most popular tea blends is earl grey. The earl grey flavor comes from bergamot, a Mediterranean citrus. This gives any Earl Grey its distinct and popular citrus flavor.

This most famous tea blend is named after Charles Grey, a 1830’s British prime minister. Some stories say he received the flavored tea as a gift. Other stories say he rescued a Chinese mandarin from drowning, even though he never traveled to China! Tea lore claims the tea was flavored with bergamot to make it taste more like high end tea.

Our Earl Grey Classic has a clean, lasting taste. On a scale of a light to strong Earl Grey, this particular Earl Grey is on the strong end of the scale.

Black tea, flavor.

Caffeine. A made in Montana tea.

This is my favorite tea. I have been drinking it for about two years. This is the best Earl Grey I have ever had. I am an avid tea drinker in my 60s. I am not a coffee drinker at all. I first tasted Lake Missoula Earl Grey tea at a little store in Lewistown, MT. The store has a mural of fish on the wall, I think trout. They had great cinnamon rolls too. I bought some of the Earl Grey from that little store and have been buying Lake Missoula tea ever since. I also like the Earl Grey Red.
