We get this oolong from a tea company with a farm on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The Taiwanese family that owns this farm is renowned for their superb oolongs. Due to this tea’s exceptional taste, we’ve carried Lake Missoula Black Pearl on our shelves since we opened our doors in 2012.

It took me a while to get brewing right, but this tea took over 12 infusions brewing Gong Fu style.
NO astringency at all. It’s like a sweet tart apple.

this is a very satisfying tea for any time of the day. sweet in flavor but also robust. it is also good cold. a favorite at our house.
